Decoupage

This month at my u3a craft group, we were trying our hand at decoupage using paper napkins. It was slightly fiddly as you have to carefully tear out the different shapes and then pull the tissue apart so you have a single ply before sticking down. We were using card but you can also use old jam jars or decorate old furniture. It was also good fun - I might try it on some old planters.

I'm really enjoying trying different crafts and will be leading a session on needle felting in the autumn.

This was  preceded by my Gaelic Conversation Class this morning. There were only two us plus  the tutor and the discussion was wide ranging encompassing making scones, air dryers and bread makers as well as motorbikes and what we did at the weekend and of course the weather. Bha an t-uisge ann -  in case you were wondering.
