Chemical Warfare

We’ve had all the cleaning stuff we brought back from the flat sat on the side of our kitchen for the past week. I didn’t want to just shove it in the cupboard under the sink because, a) it wouldn’t have fitted, b) I’m sure there would be a lot of duplication and c) I had a horrible feeling there were a lot of things under our sink that were either well out of date or no longer needed.
I was right. Highlights included four different window cleaners, enough candles to light up Kendal Highgate from one end to the other and two liquid soaps. The latter doesn’t sound too bad until you realise that we bought one the other day because we thought we hadn’t got any!
Anyway, a thorough streamlining has taken place and - with a bit of jiggling - everything is now safely stored away. Still got six multi-surface cleaner sprays to work through though!
At least we can disappear tomorrow morning knowing that everything we brought back from the flat has been dealt with. Had a quick gym session this morning as we won’t be able to go for a week. Hard work though! The holiday treats actually start tonight as we’re going to see Dara O’Briain at Kendal Leisure Centre. I reckon a couple of hours of laughter is exactly what is required after the stresses of the last fortnight.
