Desperately seeking

Acer

After we got home from cleaning the lodge we set about tidying up our little woodland garden. Our sitting area was being invaded by ivy, allium and periwinkle. Taking a break over a cup of coffee, I noticed the flowers on an acer japonicum Aurea. This tree is about 35 years old and provides a bright point in a shady area.

It was nice to be claiming back this lovely quiet area of our garden, we should sit down here more often.

We began to watch Eurovision but, I must be getting old, I soon got tired of all the flashing lights and special effects. I like music and singing. They have their own beauty without the gimmicks.
