Keeping Oban beautiful

Met with a couple of Keep Oban Beautiful friends this morning at the Rockfield café, to try to come to some conclusions about the future of the group. The main difficulty seems to be in persuading local people to come in with us and support our projects, so we agreed that a priority should be to design a leaflet that we can circulate to remind people of our aims and ask if they can help us with ideas. 

We would also like to make clear that we want to be involved in more than just litter picking and Spring Cleaning, that there are many other ways of keeping Oban beautiful. We have many supporters on our Facebook page, but it's also a place for a disgruntled minority to air their views on our aims and tell us to mind our own business!

It was good to see the sun out today. The garden of this local B&B was looking very colourful this morning - we could do with a lot more like this!

My extra today is of a thrush trying to break into a snail - it was a long way away so not as sharp as I would like!
