Backdrop Blooms

I am remiss. Why have I never noticed this diminutive speedwell before? I was on the ground, where I got ants in my bra, trying to photograph solitary bees on the buttercups and daisies when I spotted it. It's wall speedwell, the flowers are minute, only 2mm across. I've photographed it against a buttercup. Unusual for me to capture a flower without a bug on it.

I've used a flower as a backdrop again in my dung fly image. This time it's herb Robert.

The ox-eye daisies have just come into bloom and my dock shield bug on one has another as its background.
