Back to Fountains Abbey

Our last holiday prior to the first Covid19 lockdown in March 2020 was in the Yorkshire Dales. We had such a great time at Fountains Abbey then that we persuaded the Foxes that we should make a return visit there today. Immediately prior to this we wandered around another National Trust site: Brimham Rocks.

Tonight, on our last evening together, we dined out at Middleton Lodge. What an amazing place and superb food. It was a fitting venue to celebrate the end of our long weekend holiday with the Foxes.

Meanwhile in Edinburgh, Cousin Euan and Chloë survived their first half marathon, Caitlin achieved a PB for hers, and Cousin Simon completed the full marathon in 3'22".

Exercise today: walking (16,323 steps).
