Visiting local sites

We talked until gone midnight, but were still all up by 8.30. A lazy breakfast, and chatter, then we squeezed into the mini and I drove us to Alby Crafts and Gardens. I thought I might have taken Karen there before, but she said no, so it was nice to be able to show them somewhere new. The cafe is lovely but there are also interesting craft shops filled with the work of 50 local artists. Various crafts are displayed. The workshops were disappointing as only one seemed to be open. We had coffee and shared cakes.....and chatted!

There are also 4 acres of gardens with 3 large ponds. For £2.50 in an honest box, you can walk around. We probably spent an hour walking, and talking; commenting on the many beautiful shrubs, trees and flowers.

It was gone 2 by the time we left, and drove to Cromer. Excited to use my car park permit again, we parked by QD. Then wandered around Cromer, down to the pier along and round, then down to the Banksy (what's left of it) to show Joanne. It is very faded, with parts chipped away and the words are not very legible.

We walked back up to the top of the high street and went in to The Bistro for a very late lunch. Karen treated us, and I had a crab sandwich which was lovely.

We headed home at about 6 and Joanne and Karen gathered their things together, and left at about 7. I now feel quite shattered. It must have been all that talking (even more than I normally do!!)

Watching a bit of TV before bed. Who Do You Think You Are, from last night. Glad to hear my lovely girlfriends got home safely in a couple of hours. Missing them already!
