Marjorie's ramblings

"Almost indecently glamorous......"

After yesterday's title which seemed to stop a lot of people from looking at the blip (!), today I'm using a quote from Elspeth Thompson, who was a gardening writer.

The tree peony in our garden came from the garden of a house in the Scottish Borders. I was staying there for a couple of nights, fell in love with the shrub and was given 2 cuttings. I planted them and they disappeared, until about 3 years ago when one re-emerged. There were a few flowers last year, but this year the shrub is covered.

They are showy flowers, but nestle almost secretly amongst the leaves - quite a contradiction.

Arth was a brave soldier this morning when he had a steroid injection. He has to rest for 48 hours so I should get more knitting done. Fingers firmly crossed.
