Giant Saguaro Cactus Flowers (Up High!)

As you can see from the wilted flowers that pre-dated the ones blooming here, I missed the first blooms. So this left me with a shot not quite so attractive as it might otherwise have been had I caught the flowers earlier.

Nevertheless, this gives you an idea of what a blooming saguaro cactus looks like. Those big knobby things are actually flower buds. They will bloom later and perhaps I will be able to catch them.

It would be nice if they all popped at the same time. That would make a nice photo since they are bunched together.
