Day at a Time

Cleavers

AKA sticky willy, or as a former colleague of mine referred to it (ridiculously primly) 'sticky william'. In my grandson's world this afternoon these long strings of sticky willy were the charging cable for the car. He has a great imagination. We'd just taken the car to the charging place and he was very interested in the whole set up. All the way home, a short walk which took a long time, the sticky willy played an important part. There was a lot of discussion of ouchy plants - stinging nettles, brambles, thistles and the like.

Yesterday's party and the subsequent sleepover were a success. The wee lad woke up shortly before 07:00. He's been on the go ever since. We went for a swim this morning. It was much busier than usual of course with older children now on holiday.

I need to pop round to a friend's garden and make sure that the wind hasn't done any damage. She's away for a few days. My own has taken a battering. I'd like to do a bit of cutting back of damaged plants. I'm not sure I'll have time though. There's packing to be done for tomorrow's getaway.

Apologies for not getting round to much in the way of commenting. The days just seem so busy!
