The "plunge pool" and sluicegate outside the Robertson Lamb Hut this morning after an evening and night of very heavy rain. We did not make use of it!

It was still raining so we didn't fancy a walk, so a quick tidy up, clean and pack and Fi and I were away home before 9am.

The ladies and mixed bedrooms at this hut have been recently refurbished and it's very nice now, much better than the first time I stayed there! But the main building is just the same, with only two comfy chairs, the rest being bench seating and hard chairs. I know it's a mountaineering hut and therefore only a step up from a bothy (as the hut warden said), and that therefore you're assumed to be out on the hill all day, back for food and a quick chat and then bed. But when it's wet you're likely to spend a bit more time chatting, and the seats were very uncomfortable. A lot of huts are like this, but we've been spoilt by the MAM with their comfy chairs... and now they even have  WiFi!
