Wound up in Wexford

A bit of variety

One of the dahlias in pots on our patio has produced this interesting flower.

We took a trip to the garden centre this morning.  We didn't rush, but arrived at 1150, as we're not yet quite Irish enough - it didn't open till 1200.

We bought some pots, some plants, some bird food, some horticultural grit - and left considerably poorer than we arrived.

We spent some of the afternoon repotting the plants we brought from Scotland.  The mini fuchsia now has a fake half barrel, and some underplanting.  The sophora prostrata "Little Baby" - which I thought I had blipped whilst in Norfolk but cannot track down - was severely pot bound when we took it out of the pot to bring over to Ireland.  It has been pruned and repotted in a much larger pot, with some underplanting to keep it company.

And the cycad has also been given a larger pot.

I also spotted a nice trailing indoor plant to grace the plant stand we bought a few weeks ago, and we've repotted that into a terracotta plant pot.
