WOMAD end

When we got up horribly early to pack so we could get the hire car back on time, we discovered our tent had leaked. I thought it was because we hadn't tightened the guy ropes before last night's heavy rain but as we were taking the tent down we discovered that our noisy, selfish, offensive neighbours (presumably) have filched some of our pegs so the flysheet was touching the inner. Cue anger. Until now my experience of camping has been of solidarity and support - this is nasty. We filched the same number of pegs by taking them from their tents while they were still asleep and I hope they got very wet.

This picture shows Charlton Park House in Wiltshire, in whose lovely grounds WOMAD is held, and over to the right the compost loos which this year have replaced all the chemical loos. Neither is ideal but at least this sort produces something useful.
