A day in the life

Dam

The corn-harvest is in full swing now, and will be for the next couple of weeks, then follows cucumbers and pumpkins and what not. I guess the irrigation peak has been past by now. This is one of two dams close to where I live, the level is low but the farmer owning it managed to get through yet another summer.

After 2018, when we had an extreme drought here on the island, farmers were advised to build dams to secure their water supply, many farmers did and are now better equipped for another summer like that one.

The morning was spent watching the semifinals of the women's world cup in football. Sweden played against Spain and lost. I don't say much about it, the game belonged to the Spanish girls. The name of the blip doesn't have anything to do with it.
