Living my dream

By Mima

Cosying-up

Fellow-blippers Mrsmacdub and Feedtheducks (aka
Mrmacdub) came for lunch Chez Mima today. They hadn’t been here before and it was so nice to show them around.

After we’d finished eating Bean made herself a bit overfamiliar, but received no stern words to get down. As you can see.

I had hoped to eat in the garden, but the wind was blowing a chilly westerly when they arrived, so we stayed indoors. But by the time we set off for a walk the sun had come out and the wind had died down: it was a beautiful afternoon.

What a great way to spend the middle of the day.

Since the decision was made that my #3 brother would receive no more medical intervention he has steadily shrugged off the remaining infection. He is eating a tiny bit more, although still not enough to sustain life, and he is drinking just enough to keep going. The staff at the nursing home have arranged for him to spend a bit of time outdoors in a special reclining chair, which I hope he comprehends enough to appreciate. I’ve seen a few photos taken in the last couple of days which have reduced me to tears. He looks terribly old, ill and lost.

Thank you for the kind stars and comments about yesterday’s flowers.
