WATCHING CRICKET WITH MR. HCB

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We thought Mrs. HCB was never getting up today, because she went to sleep in the chair last night, after watching part of a film, she said, and then didn’t wake up until 7.41 - well, Mr. HCB had been out in the garden and done a day’s work by then!  She said that she felt quite woozy, so had some breakfast and you will never guess what she did then - went up to bed!!  What a waste of a good Saturday morning - and the sun was shining too, but she has definitely rested today!

After they had had their lunch, we thought we could go out into the garden and climb up the passion flower arch and we were really excited about this, but then we heard thunder and we were very upset when the rains came down - and boy did it rain!  So that was that - no playing in the garden for us today and no more work out there for Mr. HCB!

So we thought we would watch some sport with Mr. HCB - however, the only thing on of interest was the Women’s Cricket match between Welsh Fire and Super Chargers in "The Hundred" at the Oval.  We have to tell you that Mr. HCB is NOT a fan of this sort of match - being rather old-fashioned he and his cricket buddy, Keith, who is no longer with us, much preferred the 4 day matches - as they both felt there was much more skill in those matches.  But Mr. HCB was very gracious and allowed us to watch - and although he seldom watches a Women’s match, we think he rather enjoyed it but of course, he would never say so! We think this photograph would make Admirer smile and she would be so proud of Mr. HCB!

Once again, just a reminder to BE KIND - because you never know what someone else is going through - Mr. HCB has been very kind to Mrs. HCB - and she is very appreciative of that and of all your kind wishes and comments over the last couple of weeks.  You are a great bunch!

Love to you all from
The Silly Saturday Gang xxx

P.S.  Now we need to remind Mrs. HCB to rest again!
