Front of house

Too hot!

It was lovely this morning for a cool walk at 7.15 am our first week back at the early time. There was a milky sun rising at 7.00 as I walked up the village and it remained slightly misty throughout the walk which was perfect.

After breakfast Chris had supplies to get for luncheon club (tea and coffee) which was also starting again today. Persuaded him to go into Bradford to another Tesco and here we got three packets of GF Cereal, this time Honey Loops rather than Multigrain but Eda likes these too. ( See yesterdays blip) So we have four packets to take down to Bath next week.

Called at ACW garden centre for some lawn mower oil, they don’t do it at the two in our village apparently, and had a coffee whilst there.

Have done absolutely nothing this afternoon apart from a quick scout for a blip. These tubs of Cosmos, on the edge of the drive at the front of the house, are still looking fantastic and the white Cosmos flowers in one of the tubs in the back garden have just come into their own with lots more buds to open.

I knew we’d be complaining about the heat by the end of the week but at least we’ve not had the dreadful storms that a couple of friends, one a neighbour and fellow walker and one an ex neighbour and member of our singing group are currently experiencing in Skiathos with no planes out till next week!
