Fun Day, Despite the Rain!

Which was heavy at times - downpours in fact. 

I had a lovely lunch with a friend that I haven't seen in a while, followed by another date, this one at the Pittock Mansion. The date wasn't so great, but it's always a pleasure to visit the mansion, especially at Christmas.

The mansion has a fascinating history which you can read on their website if you're interested. It was completed in 1914 and Henry Pittock spared no expense at ensuring his house had the latest inventions, such as a central vacuum, intercoms, an elevator, indirect lighting and showers with temperature controls.
