Jeri's Baking!

It was a lazy morning/early afternoon following the excitement of yesterday and quite a late night. Brian did have the very important job of booking our tickets for the Grand Final at Old Trafford next weekend. He was online as soon as the tickets went on sale and didn't have too long to wait to get to the front of the online queue and buy our tickets.

I saw pictures of the in-person queue at the ticket office and it went all round the stadium and down the road. The club were only allocated 8000 tickets and many people were disappointed. I don't know why more weren't made available as it is a very large stadium. Some were very expensive too - out of reach for the average RL fan! I daresay they will still be able to get tickets from the RFL site, or even from Catalans. The French team's home games are very well attended but understandably they don't have a large travelling fan-base. All the neutral fans will be cheering for them no doubt! I have myself in past finals they've got to, but not this time of course!

This afternoon we took a drive over to see Jeri and the family, and Grace too. It was good to see them all and catch up on their news.

Malachi turns 12 next week and Paul's son Jack will be 15. Of course Jeri baked them a cake each! As ever she did a fantastic job! She has a few to make for customers this week too!

We watched football while we were there too, and saw Arsenal beat Man City! It was a good game, and City have lost two in a row now!
