Shaggy Meal?

After another excellent watercolour class (more supplies wanted - it's almost as bad as photography for generating a "want" list!) I headed to a nearby park and pond for lunch and a stroll.  I spotted this fungi buried in grass cuttings and cleaned it off to expose this shaggy inkcap.


Mushrooms and toadstools are the fruit of a hidden mass of thin threads collectively known as mycelium, so surely fit in with the theme of today's Tiny Tuesday challenge set by Pinkhairedlady.  Since we also treat and eat the edible ones as a vegetable, the link must be doubly so! However I don't think I'd eat this one.
