Natural magical patterns

After a morning vacuuming up a workbenchmaking's worth of sawdust in the garage, and doing a tiny bit more to the mythical thing itself it was a lazy lunchtime with a complaining pre-cold throat.  Mum and Dad suggested we go to the seaside, and breathing in huge lungfuls of sea air seemed a splendid idea to me.  I threw some things together and whizzed out on Fidra to Longniddry Bents, where we had a lovely walk in the sunshine, crackling our way over seaweed and crunching over the rocks and plodding through the sand.

Clockwise from top-right:
1) Flumgummery and Mr Flum taking in the view towards Edinburgh.
2) My impression of an aerial view of Antarctica, with glaciers, moraines and sastrugi galore.
3) Seaweed, whose species I know not but it looked nice in the sun.
4) Interference patterns in the water as the tide gradually came in.
