Ramadan

Yesterday, PY prepared a three bean chilli so that we did not have much cooking to do. We ate that before heading out to The Crazy Coqs, which is rapidly becoming our favourite London venue for cabaret and entertainment. We were off to see Danny Buckler & John Lenahan for an evening of comedy magic.

John’s bio says, “In 2002 John was asked by Buckingham Palace to provide the magical entertainment for Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee. Come along tonight and see what makes John Lenahan’s comedy and magic so special”.  Sadly, I don’t think saw the show at its best.

Both of the acts were entertaining and had a little comedy and magic but both kept referring to the odd atmosphere in the room as if there was a problem and it seemed to be putting them off, somehow. Clearly, a couple of things went wrong with a trick or two and I sense that they both  wanted to get off stage as quickly as possible. It’s a shame as I was enjoying it but, when the performers are not enjoying the experience, it spoils the event a little.

Ramadan ends tomorrow but I thought I would capture the lights near Leicester Square as they are quite lovely.
