Progress

Our bedroom windows are now completed, as are the laundry windows, the little window in the garden loo, and the window in the stairwell.  Tomorrow the lads will do the bay window in the lounge, the two windows in the third bedroom and the little window in our en-suite.  If they have time they’ll also do the two windows in the main bathroom.  Then, on Thursday, they’ll do the big ranch slider window in the study area.  We have been thinking about the french door in the dining area and decided that it will have to be changed, so C came up from Vistalite to talk to us about how it can be done and help us choose a colour.  The frame will be retained and the new french door will be in a wood colour to tie in with the wooden frame.

We went to Resene to choose a colour for the back door downstairs, only to find that they can do Pioneer Red, the same colour as the new garage door.  We bought a test pot to try it out, liked it very much, so that’s another decision made.

We went out for a walk before supper through the Oamaru Public Gardens, then cooked supper together - couscous, lots of greens from the garden with lots of other vegetables, and sautéed Halloumi.  Delicious.

I took photos of the stunning rhododendrons in the gardens as well as a beautiful tree, which I don’t know the name of … yet.
