Escaped!

A nice day, bright and not too cold so after church I went out to do a bit of gardening. More leaf raking under the Magnolia tree and I’ve finally pulled out the Cosmos plants from the pots in the back garden.

Washing out too which is now just finishing off on the airer.

The little Toadstool was missed by the rake though its companion wasn’t, so I thought I would blip it. Don’t know what it is but I liked its shiny cap.

You can see by the grass that surrounds it that it’s pretty small though it has to be said the grass could do with another cut. With the weather we’ve had since we returned from Bath it has been impossible to use the mower but tomorrow’s forecast is quite good so it might get done one last time before the winter.
(He’s just said the forecast has changed again to rain, what a surprise!)
Don’t know if there will be any fireworks tonight - Remember, remember the 5 th November, gunpowder, treason and plot - but we had a great display from the cricket club last night which we were able to watch from our living room.  Soon after we couldn’t see but could hear lots horrible loud bangs quite near, can’t see any fun in those.
There was quite a bit of firework debris on the road and footpath on the way up to church so I think they were quite near.

We used to be so excited when we were children, a much more important and fun event for us than Halloween.
