Chaffinches

It was bright and sunny today. I ventured into the garden, hoping to catch more birds in flight. I also hoped that our pair of bullfinches might make an appearance but they were nowhere to be seen.

I like the way the light is catching these chaffinches. It makes it look a lot warmer than it was out there!

I was using the 100 - 400mm lens. It's heavy but it is very fast, so I'm pleased with it. The focus happens almost instantaneously.
