A day of home-working and patting the guinea pig trio and Whisky (the best part about working from home). Whisky kept me company all day and well into the evening. I opened the front room window wide open to let a delicious breeze in. Whisky was all ears - lots of noises outside... I rarely have this front window open for fear that some crook will come in and steal everything. A few weeks ago, Fred opened the window and went out in the back garden for something. The doorbell went, but he didn't answer, thinking it might be a salesperson/religious converter person/political party person (it usually is during the day). When he returned to the front room, the window was shut... and there was a leaflet through the letterbox from the police force with crime prevention techniques. A kindly police officer had shut the window thinking that no one was in the flat.
