Sunny skies have now
returned to us, so we have
a beautiful day

We had a helicopter to wake us again today. I don't understand why the army has to fly over the Foothills early in the morning. Perhaps they are making a statement. (Yuma votes Republican.)

We had a leisurely breakfast, then headed off to the Arizona Marketplace so my brother could have a wander around.

We stopped at the entrance for this photo of what appears to be a pirate ship. I would love to know the story behind it.

We parked near the C section and were surprised by toilets that were set out on the walkway. I'm sure there is a story there, too!

I found a couple of very cute leather dogs sitting along the walkway. They were in front of the shop that specializes in Mexican leather goods.
Next to it was the ironwood store with so many items made from ironwood, a tree that only grows in this region.

This outdoor market sells just about anything you might want from beds, to jewellry to clothing and food items. It just opened this past weekend for the beginning of the snowbird season.

I made a brief stop in my favourite shop here, Bonnie's Fabric on Wheels. This quilt store just keeps getting better and better. The lady who operates it come from the state of Washington each season to keep the quilters of Yuma very happy.

We were home in time for a nap......
