A wee trip to the
old 'downtown' gave us a bit
of a perspective

We had our coffee while sorting out the last of my brother's return trip home in December. When brunch was over, we were on our way to the old downtown so my brother could have a look.

We parked behind the Yuma Art Center and walked along the lane onto Main Street. There are some interesting shops and businesses in this area. Christmas has started to arrive.

The Information Center features "UMA" in their front window with an invitation to add yourself in front of it to form the Y of Yuma, then share the photo on social media. I couldn't convince my brother to participate. LOL!

The lovely Spanish-style fountain that once stood in front of the art center is now replaced by metal sculpture and a water feature that looks like a sluice box. The fountain across from the Mexican consulate remains at the other end of the street.

A crew was busy putting Santa's reindeer up on the front of the old Yuma Theatre. Santa will arrive sometime in early December so the reindeer are in for a wait.

We had our walk along Main Street, then back to the car to zoom home again. It will be cold drinks, then down for a nap.
