A view from Jeanneb

By Jeanneb53

More sunshine!

But with a hard frost.

No matter that kept the mud hard for our Saturday morning walk into the St Ives estate. We did our usual route which is not the same as the one I do with the ladies on a Thursday.
We cross the cricket field and climb out to the lower woods that can be seen from our house (extra) and then take the lower path skirting above Low Park which you can see in the blip.

Then on to Betty’s  Wood. The trees are certainly growing but I don’t think most of them are the ones planted after the felling about 6 years ago. Lots are self seeded and at some point are going to need thinning out. The main advantage of the extensive felling is the view now from the end of the woods over Bingley.

We then headed to The Ivy Kitchen for coffee.  Outside was a frosted Santa. I was impressed that he still had a coating of frost whilst in the full sun. On further inspection on the way out I realised it was a frosted coating! Silly Saturday?

Another nice start to the day.
