Hoar frost

The forecast was for a very cold night and the weather did not disappoint.

All the trees in the garden were sparkling and covered in hoar frost.

I had started to feel ill last night, possibly with a cold or just exhaustion, so I did not venture out. I opened my bedroom window and took this shot. The brown behind is our beech hedge.

I stayed in bed all day, dozing on and off. It was very comfortable.

Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow. I can’t afford to be ill when my operation is finally happening!

I watched videos about hip care after surgery and made some plans. The business of not crossing my feet and not bending down will challenge me (as I uncross my feet again)!
