Out at the Playhouse

Sunday
It was a wonderful morning at church again, with great music and a great message. The service began with Tom playing cello, accompanied by Patti on piano. The choir sang Rutter’s Angel Carol, which was a bit of a challenge for us, but we gave our best, and sang from the heart. The Prasie Band did a lovely piece, which also included Tom on his cello. The refreshment ladies provided us with a great selection of goodies, and then we went on to Bible study. We just had time to get home and have a bit of lunch before going downtown to the Playhouse to se Late Night Catechism in the Shelterhouse theatre, the smaller of the two theatres. This is a one woman interactive show, a playful and compassionate send-up of Catholic culture and Catholic schools, in which the audience becomes the class! The show was due to finish a few weeks back, but due to its popularity they are continuing through Christmas. The main theatre was showing A Christmas Carol, a Christmas tradition, and both shows were sold out so it was a busy place.
