Searching for lights

I didn’t walk this morning but I did rush around to tidy the house ahead of the electrician’s visit later. I thought the mess of collected Christmas planning things - cards, presents, wrapping paper, etc. - would be best tidied up. Amazing how much can be done in twenty minutes. In the end, the electrician wasn’t here long. The bulb that won’t turn off is safe. Likely the smart switch isn’t great for low powered LED bulbs.  His recommendation is to replace with halogen bulbs if I can still get them. If we do opt for a new switch then check it’s compatible with LEDs.

After we had eaten, we decided to take a little walk around The Apostles to see if there were any Christmas lights on display. Occasionally, we’ve tried to do this just to see what other people have done. There are some lovely displays of lights - like the one one in this picture - but perhaps not as many as there could be. Quite a few illuminated candy canes which looked quite nice. I wonder if more lights will go up before Christmas Day? Back for a cup of tea and dessert.
