A view from Jeanneb

Clock tower

It has been a horrid day. We talked last night about the possibility of going to Rainbow Woods,  across Bath and part of the Skyline walk, or even just a walk here along to the badger sets but it’s been far too wild and wet to even consider either.

So it’s been a day of ‘doing’ starting with Jude getting out her new kinetic sand set on the special mat on the kitchen floor. Eda was putting tiny crystals onto pictures designed to make key rings.

After breakfast we allowed a bit of watching, a rerun of ‘Mog at Christmas’ and ‘Tabby Mactat’ followed by Micheal  Morpurgo’s ‘Mimi and the Mountain Dragon’. This is one of two books I got her for Christmas. The other, Maggie O’Farrel’s Snow Angel, We had as a bedtime story last night and she loved it but it’s too long really. I’m finding this now with books for Eda, we need to be able to read them in chapters.

After lunch, out came these Magnetic Tiles. Son Alex bought them for them to share, I couldn't believe how heavy the parcel was. The great thing is they do share and play with them together. Eda built her clock tower and Jude was busy with her delivery wagon - seen yesterday in the extra.

I asked if I could take her picture with it and of course she pulled faces so after taking two I got this third shot of her laughing. A trick I often use with Chris!

They’ve since done a bit of pottery painting! They’ll soon have got through all these Christmas presents in no time!

It’s funny how bright the reflection looks in the lounge mirror in the background on such a dark day. It’s only because all the lights are on in the middle of the day!
