Newcastle Downunder

Safety is everyones business

I lurked around University of Newcastle's city campus after doing a supermarket shop to get my blip.  You can always count on it for geometric shapes and angles.  Thanks for hosting steveng.

It was back to the aged care facility for Maggy and me today.   Our first after Christmas.   Sadly, 4 of the residents were no longer there.  It was good to see everyone else.

And a quick straw pole if you will.   You are faced with two lines at the checkout in the supermarket both moving at a similar pace.  No, you will not be going to the self serve thank you very much.   One has a super overly friendly chatty chap on the checkout who will ask you how your day has been, what are you doing for the rest of the day, how was Christmas, what is the weather like outside , what do you think of Hubbles Law of Cosmic Expansion and what are you having for dinner, oh I see you have bought a chicken.  The other is a somewhat slower, perhaps even sullen young lady who does not open her mouth even to say hello to you but does her job efficiently although she put dry foods in the freezer bag.   Who do you choose?
