Another evening out!

With my long days of work and considerable responsibilities these days, we don't make many expeditions into the cultural groves of Edinburgh, but we made an exception today, as part of our project to get out to more concerts. Mr A suggested we go and see Büşra Kayıkçı at the Queen's Hall. I've long been a fan of minimalist and immersive piano music, enhanced with sampling, and Mr A has become more of a fan recently as we've often listened to these sorts of works over breakfast. My main complaint about the show was that I wanted more of it! She was very low key in her manner and her approach to introducing her work, but the music itself was - as expected - an absorbing experience.

We preceded this with a quick supper at SEN Vietnamese and a drink at Greenmantle. Oh, and watching a homeless drunken guy be sick and smash a bottle outside the Queen's Hall as we waited for the doors to open.

Before that, there was work and some tricky stuff to deal with. Once again, it has been proved that the Law School cannot catch a break.
