Topographical Enchantment

Today's centrepiece was a walk from Les Creces to Vallehermoso, taking us through the lush Laurisilva cloud forest (not dripping in moisture today), sandwiched between two spectacular bus rides, the journey from Vallehermoso back to San Sebastian offering even more spectacular scenery than the one out, which we've now done three times already. 

The weather is unseasonably warm and dry here, temperatures in the high twenties, even in the mountains. In the end, we only had five minutes to spare to get our bus back, so we'll have to come back to look around what looked like a lovely little town,

Although I had many dramatic pictures from the walk, the highlight was the bus ride, reminding me again how very much I want to ride these roads on the bike. This was taken at the end of the day, descending into San Sebastian after the incredible climb up from Hermigua. Two consecutive days of photography through a bus window!

I'm becoming enchanted with this island's astonishing topography.
