Sunshine and blue skies

We were kicked out of the house today so A the painter could get the ceilings in the kitchen and dining room painted.  We walked down to the Harbour Street Café for coffee then back up the hill.  We bumped into a lady outside a house we admire, had a nice chat and got an invite for coffee any time we’d like to knock on her door.

Back home we donned our cycling helmets and set off for the Fort Enfield Tavern, which is on the Alps 2 Ocean trail, where we met Blipper Mima for lunch and a chat.  It was lovely just to sit and relax.  After a leisurely lunch we said our goodbyes and cycled back to Oamaru - a total of 25kms for the day.

After we arrived home we spent some time with the tiler choosing the ground for the lounge wall and the ensuite floor.  Fortunately, one colour will do both.

I dusted and cleaned the glass on all the pictures for the bedroom and kitchen/living/dining room and MrMacD put them back up.  There was also the big kitchen lampshade to clean, which was extremely dusty.  It looks much better now.  Then we had to move things out of the second bedroom back into the living/dining room and also clear out the second bedroom so A can start painting it tomorrow.  It took a lot of time.

The two poppies are in our garden; the wildflower field is in the Oamaru Public Gardens; the two utility boxes are in Weston and the view towards the mountains was between Weston and Enfield.
