More rain

We set off on our walk this morning just after 6:30am, hoping we’d beat the rain.  For a while there was the occasional light misty splattering of drops, but the further we went the drizzlier it got, until there was a steady drizzle as we arrived home.  We managed just over 8kms and the hot shower was very welcome. During the day it rained off and on and our view kept disappearing and reappearing.  The rain that hit Auckland has been wreaking further havoc as it travels down the North Island.  Apparently it’s an atmospheric river, and there’s more still to come.

I’ve been doing more decluttering today, which has been very satisfying.

Just before 8pm we received an emergency alert on our phones, which is included in the blip.  There is also a view of Rangitoto at top left, a debris-strewn Kohimarama beach at top right, an interesting gate at bottom left and two lovely lichen-covered rocks in front of the same property that the gate belongs to.
