An ordinary life....

Nine, ten...

Big fat hen...

A fun wee painting in the little watercolour pad I bought to try out the paper (if you're interested the pad is a 10" x 7" Daler-Rowney The Langton Prestige cold pressed 300gsm :-). Really like the paper.  Takes colour washes well, good blending and gives good effects with salt and water splashes.  I will definitely buy it in a larger size at some point.

D and I spent most of the afternoon in the studio, he on boring household admin, me on test paintings and getting mounts on completed paintings.  It was lovely to share the space together as usually D is golfing when I'm in there, but the weather has put paid to that this week.  He will be very grumpy if that continues next week.

Had a look through my yarn stash this evening as want to crochet some baby hats to give to my friend Mae to take out to Australia when she visits her newborn granddaughter next month.  Sadly I don't have time to crochet a blanket but as winter is coming down under I thought some little hats would be welcome.  I also need to find something Scottish to send.

Received a letter with an appointment at the end of the month for another CT scan regarding my kidney stone.

This scan is more specialised and the instructions state I have to drink two litres of water before the scan, then will have to drink some more half way through!  Don't they know I am a menopausal woman who heaved out a 91/2lb baby.  One sneeze and it will be.....well D keeps singing By the Rivers of Babylon!

I may have my fist ever blip gap on 28th Feb!!!
