WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Blip meet with Justin!

What a delightful afternoon we had!
Blipper Eyecatching was up from London visiting his brother and SiL in Saltaire so we caught the train - Bella’s first train ride - and we met up in The Boat House for lunch.
Justin was thrilled to meet Bella and as you can see in the extra - feelings were mutual!
We all ordered the same - Chana Dahl and Chips - yum!
We found so much to talk about and the conversation flowed. What a lovely chap Justin is!
There will definitely be more Blipmeets and we agreed that we would give other local Blippers more notice.
Isn’t the Blip world wonderful?
After we said our goodbyes Frank and I took Bella to the park where she only saw one squirrel which ran up the tree - disappointing!
There were lots of stones and slates on a rockery with lovely painted messages and pictures. The other extra is a view of crocus, the River Aire and Salt’s Mill in the background.
We were a bit early for the train home so I went in a lovely shop by the station and there was a cat lying on a sofa so Bella had to have a sniff, she loves cats and that one didn’t seem bothered then we came out and I saw a couple with a pram, now I can’t resist a baby so I asked if I could have a look - the couple laughed and said yes. What a surprise it was another cat - but a very large one with a wide face. The owners said it’s a British Shorthair. Of course Bella had to get close and personal but again the cat wasn’t bothered.
On the train home there were friends from Hellifield who saw Bella before they saw us and we chatted all the way home.

As for yesterday’s travel saga.
Our visitors ended up booking in the hotel in Liverpool for 2 nights as they couldn’t get a car hire that they could return to Leeds until Monday morning
so they didn’t get to Blackpool to see Sam’s mum.
They ended up having a good day in Liverpool and met up with friends.
They will be with us tomorrow for one night then fly back to Ireland on Tuesday evening.
All’s well that ends well!

Goodnight Blippers! ;-)X
