Ash Wednesday

It was a pretty quiet day. We did laundry, exchanged Valentine gifts and read. My sister dressed Sugar in red. She and our BIL took Sugar to their “love rock” in the creek for their Valentine blip. We had heart shaped cheese raviolis with marinara sauce for lunch. After a few more hours of reading, we went to town. Our BIL bought tractor weights on line, our first stop. We shopped at the usual stores until time for Mass. This is a new church for us, St. Vincent de Paul in Wheeling. Isn’t it beautiful? The pastor gave such a down to earth homily for our Lenten daily reflection. We ended the visit in town with a fish dinner. I think we somehow got the right mix of Valentine’s Day and Ash Wednesday. Sure hope your day was enjoyable. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “As you mourn for your sins and weaknesses this Ash Wednesday through fasting, mourning and weeping, may you be truly transformed from your heart”. - John Tribes
