Wound up in Wexford

An unusual pond feature

We've had quite a lot of rain over the last few days, and this morning we found we had a pond, with a digger in the middle.  When I took the extra, it was still raining,  as testified by the raindrops on the camera lens.  It's cleared up since, and we had a lovely sunset.  Hopefully staying fine for tomorrow to allow some progress on the pond.

This morning, TV man arrived as promised, and now, just over 11 months after we moved in, we finally have our TV sorted out.  He removed one of the satellite dishes (we had two!) from the wall, provided a lead that allows us to view Freesat on the TV, tuned the TV, helped us to decipher the many leads emerging from the wall.

And then this afternoon, we had a visit from someone to look at our guttering.  We thought it just needed some repairs to the joints, but it is almost 20 years old, not very well fitted, and in the opinion of the expert, full replacement was the only sensible option.  His quote was less than we had feared, and he can start on Monday, so that's sorted.

Both TV engineer and guttering specialist have been rather difficult to pin down - we've tried several alternative companies for both, been promised phone backs, and nothing materialised.  Great to finally get both issues sorted.  We're STILL trying to get a review of our drainage situation.

Freesat (now accessible) has radio as well as TV, so I spent the afternoon sewing and listening to ClassicFM.
