Cardio exercise!

Thursday
We got a late start this morning, having fallen back asleep after the alarm. We had hoped for some glimpses of sunshine today, but unfortunately they didn’t materialize, but at least it remained dry. We got out for a hike at Rowe Woods this afternoon, where more and more glimpses of approaching Spring were in evidence. More daffodils were out, though not as many as I’d hoped, many hellebores still blooming, several shrubs were beginning to come into leaf, we saw a few grape hyacinths and a few other wild flowers. The forest floor is definitely greening up, adding some more colour, unfortunately much of the green is provided by the invasive lesser celandine, which unfortunately crowd out many of the local plants. We took a trail we hadn’t done for a while, including a long flight of steps- getting our cardio exercise in. The Canada geese were very noisy on the pond.
This evening was handbells and choir as usual, then we came home to watch the State of the Union address.
