Tropical fish: oranda?

Is this an oranda? We peered at this wee fellow(?) and his comrades in a tank at Dobbies garden centre this afternoon. We made the trip there by car through hideous rain. Our main interest was seed potatoes, but we also bought some other supplies and stopped for tea/coffee and scones in the café. (My scone was rather nasty - stale and salty - so I quietly took it back to the counter. Here they kindly exchanged the offending item for a millionaire's shortbread.)

This was our second excursion of the day with Mummy hazelh. This morning we took her by wheelchair to the dentist, who was very, very kind to her. The dentist told us that even though there is some evidence of decay, Mummy hazelh's teeth are in good condition for an 84 year-old.

Other activities today have included exercise, communicating with both of my sisters by WhatsApp and over the phone, answering email, dealing with the laundry etc etc.

It's also been a busy news day. Some was good: a friend has secured a fabulous new job. Some was awful: a couple of local blip friends, and a third over the border, have had a very tough time over the past 24 hours.

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; pushing Mummy hazelh's wheelchair in the pouring rain.
