An ordinary life....

Dance yourself dizzy…

A fairly non-descript day until early evening when we headed to the showbiz Mecca that is Grangemouth Town Hall to see Esme in her dance show.

This is her third dance show but the first we’ve seen her in as we missed the previous two due to me being ill (quelle surprise)

Met up with Ele and our niece Jen at the venue.  Jen is a Primary School teacher and quite a few of her pupils were also in the show.  I think they though she’d come especially to see them :-))

Jen was also a member of this dancing school from age three to twenty-two so I have sat through many, many, many dance shows!

We were all seated by 7pm and the show started right on time.  A very entertaining three hours, although maybe not always for the right reasons :-))

Esme was in one dance out of 27 in the first half and three out of the twenty-five in the second half and did brilliantly.  Five years old and all the confidence in the world on stage.  She even sneaked a wee wave when she saw me.  Hope her dance teacher didn’t see her as that’s strictly forbidden!  lol

We waited at the end and met up with her and her mum. She came over all shy. No autographs :-))) Nikki had been helping backstage with costume changes and was absolutely shattered.  The show is on tonight again.  Esme will be shattered.  It’s 11pm before she gets to bed after the shows as they don’t finish till 10pm, it’s 10.30pm when they leave the venue then it’s a half hour drive home, and she has school next day!

As we waved our goodbyes D and I realised we were starving as bad time management meant we’d had a slightly later lunch but no dinner.  As we sat at the roundabout waiting to join the M9, we were seduced by the Golden Arches opposite and that’s how we found ourselves sitting in the car park of McDonalds tucking into a Big Mac! I can’t remember the last time I had a MCDonalds.  I have to say I really enjoyed it, even if I did feel slightly dirty afterwards! Hahahahaha!

Headed home singing sings from the show then as we got to the edge of our wee town, we were greeted by snow!  That was a surprise!

Fell asleep with Christmas sings in my head!
