River of Flowers

Tuesday: Blue Borage

A very chilly start to the day, it was still only 8°C late morning when I spent a few minutes in the greenhouse. Wind is easterly.

Walking back along our path I noticed the beautiful blue of the Borage flowers - when it’s a bit warmer the bees and other insects will love these :-)

Fried up some mushrooms and an egg which became lunch between 2 slices of toasted bakery bread - the mushrooms were the subject of  Thrifty Thursday - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3215068724918748798 - and still in good condition :-)

MrD had taken his motorbike to Manchester for it’s final check before the warranty ends, he told me how beautiful the sunshine was when he was sitting outside with his coffee - I showed him the weather station display which had gone up to 9°C and the sky had gone even darker :-(

By 4pm the sky brightened as the clouds broke … but it was just temporary :-((

Today is our Wedding Anniversary, we’ve been married for 48 years !!
