A lunchtime treat

Phin’s paw doesn’t look as raw today but we’re keeping up the sudocrem and covering with a sock so that he isn’t tempted to lick!

We headed into town late morning as we’d been given the chance to make a late booking for Six by Nico’s last week of the Hanoi menu. A welcome glass of fizz and 6 delicious courses. The service is normally impeccable but was a little off today. Our bread and red miso butter snack didn’t appear until after our starters and my cauliflower alternative to the fish course didn’t appear at all until after our fish course was placed in front of me. They quickly sorted it but Mr PHL had ordered a tempura prawn extra to accompany his main course and we never received them until we were finished. They didn’t charge us for them but it was a wee bit disappointing. The final (minor) issue was the bill didn’t take into account our late booking offer. Again quickly sorted but not their usual standard.

Home to find Phin snoozing quite happily on the kitchen sofa. A quick run round with the hoover and I’m ready for two dog walking friends to arrive for drinks. Phew!
