Moss

The magpies nesting in a tree at the side of our garden have a habit of pecking at our lawn and pulling out tufts of greenery. It leaves the lawn looking very messy within just a day or two of being mown.  The only good bit is that most of what they pull out appears to be moss - so perhaps they are doing me a favour.
