Iris

The bridge-keeper's giant irises (Iris bigdemsis) are doing well this year.

Another busy day: Meeting in the morning, and an observed drive in the afternoon, pausing only to embed some more track (the buffer section) in cement to hold it in place.

Finished off the George Gently DVD's in the evening.

This isn't the most wonderful photograph (better large) but the other I had was really only a variant of the deserted boats you've already seen, and these 'iris-like' alpines do seem to have taken off this year - I may even have to thin them out a bit.
