Tulips in my garden

These frilly tulips are so pretty at the moment - I wish we had masses of them but unfortunately due to squirrels eating the bulbs when they were initially planted, the tulips grow in rather sparse patches in the flower beds so this is only a small area of tulips.

It is still so chilly, it has been sunny all day but the cold wind is now getting boring - when will it warm up? I dressed very warmly for my golf session today as I knew we would be outside practising bunker shots (as opposed to being more sheltered in the covered practice bays). The coach took us each individually to teach us how to hit a ball out of a steep bunker and for the first time I learnt the proper technique and was able to get the ball out. If only I can do that when playing on the course!

The café at the golf centre closed down about 18 months ago but they have found a new tenant to run the café again, and today us ladies were able to get a coffee after golf and sit outside in a sheltered spot in the sunshine and enjoy our coffees. From next week they will be serving proper meals too....I am sure Gavin and I will make use of this on weekends after going to the driving range.

Tommy had some good news today. He was offered a machine learning engineering internship last week, but he was holding out as he was hoping to get an internship contract from another preferred company. He had another round of interviews with that preferred company today and has now been offered a six months internship with them. He has many 'irons in the fire' at the moment, I cannot say all that is going on but he has been a very busy boy these past few months and things seem to be starting to happen now. He has always had a clear plan of what he wanted to do after he graduated last summer, but these things take time. He is also very busy tutoring A level maths and science as the students are getting ready for their A level final exams.
